And have to say, they were all good. But forgettable... Except for Trish

Have to take a moment, I am the first to based the Premier League and it's mostly because the fans are soo confirmed of it's superiority they are annoying. And while the league is clearly the best in the world their fans and fans of England are clearly not..

They have continued to have a serious problem with racial abuse online, and after three black English players all missed their PKs, they were out in force..

Just cowardly actions, I get it your upset.. Losing in that fashion is horrible. But how about blame Southgate for taking a one goal lead and trying to sit on for an ENTIRE half against an world class team. Or when they did equalize, he didn't show any real change to the team's posture.

Also you subbed in two attacking players to take the PKs, however you waited so late to do it, that they barely broken a sweat or touched a ball, before asked to make the biggest spot kick of their life that's not fair.

AND the biggest thing a coach or manager has to really do in my mind is protect players from themselves. I don't care if a Saka said he wanted to be the 5th shooter or volunteered. YOU CAN"T allow a 19 year old in a position to take the deciding kick. Sorry, he doesn't understand the burden or the pressure and everything else that will result if he misses. He wasn't ready and you could see it in his face. That's on the manager..

However I am sure he would have gotten crushed had Jorginho made the fifth shot for Italy and he had saved say Kane as the fifth taker, so it was probably lose lose.. But you can't put it on a 19 year old with really one season of professional football under his belt.

Anyway, in the end the better team won, and I'm happy for Italy.. Sad for the English players and team, but their "fans" can't cry me a river filled with the echoes of it's coming home..
