During history classes in school I always imagined what it would be like to be alive during the events we were discussing, what would the average person during these momentous events be doing and what would be going through their mind.

Well I have now been "lucky" to live through a few of these so far in my life and yesterday was one of those days.

And I tried to write something to say about 15 times and just kept deleting and starting over, because there is nothing more to say than what has already been said.

But more importantly I have never been more ashamed or embarrassed to be a white male. Our privilege is disgusting and as I father I have to a duty to make son aware of his privilege and how we can try and USE that for good not the betterment of ourselves.
