I am like Natalie Imbruglia and Torn..

Even though I might have given up my Panthers fandom, and still dislike Matt Rhule or think he’s worth more than a bag of soggy Wendy’s Fries that has been left out overnight. I want them to be good. That starts with a having a quarterback.

And as I write this we are finalist, like bizarro episode of the Bachelor, for Deshaun Watson, we have had our at home visit and now it’s up to him to PICK us.

Therefore, I am torn. Is he an outstanding football player that could help the Panthers become competitive and relevant again? Without question.

Is the price at least 3 first round picks, plus additional picks and player(s) too high?

Probably, but you can’t win in this league without a QB, and he can be one of the 10 best.

But why I am really torn, is despite everything he offers on the field are we really giving up all of this for a guy who, despite being cleared of all criminal charges, was accused of sexual misconduct from 22.. TWENTY TWO different women. We are serving at his bequest. We are giving up the boat load of assets for someone who thinks it’s ok to treat women pretty shitty.

As much as it would mean to the city to have the Panthers good again, the more I think about it, the more I don’t think I want to have this guy as the face of the franchise.

So I guess it’s good I gave up my fandom!
